Preflight panel broken (status bar says I have errors, panel itself is blank)

      OK, after trying every form of Google-fu I could think of, I haven't been able to find any references to this issue.

      My preflight panel in CS4 is now blank. It's not file-specific or error-specific. Just, two weeks ago, it stopped working. My status bar will tell me I have one or more errors, but when I double-click on it, the preflight panel comes up with nothing on it.

      I use Smart Connection plugins at work, but it doesn't matter if I'm opening a file via Enterprise server or off my desktop – same deal. It means I have to hunt for some types of errors manually and is making me more than a little nuts. Any ideas?
