Preferences keep getting reset

      For a little over two weeks now, I'm encountering the unpleasant situation of InDesign undoing my preferences in the form of resetting everything back to default. It happens every day, at least once.

      This is frustrating because I have several print presets that I'd like to keep, plus the little tweaks of units and default page sizes.

      I'm running CS6 8.0.1 and OS 10.6.8 and to the best of my knowledge I didn't change anything when this started – I have a vague memory of working on a customer's file and crashing (but that's not anything new).

      Any trouble shooting ideas? Normally when you crash a lot you purposely want to trash that prefs file, but in this case, I'm not unstable, just the prefs file appears to be.
