placing text in indesign CS5

      hi

      i am designing a book in indesign CS5.

      i got from the client a .Docx file containing words in bold, italic, tabs and matematic Formulas.

      when i place the file into indesign, some words lost their characteristics: bold or italic.

      i do mark when placing reserve styles that where created in word.
