Placed Excel Spreadsheet Has Incorrect Styles

      I am placing a linked Excel spreadsheet into InDesign, applying the correct table style in import options – this works fine, except the character style and paragraph styles chosen is incorrect. I tried applying the paragraph style and character style to the text frame before I placing the table, yet it overrides with another character and paragraph style every time.

      I tried making the character style in Excel match what I am hoping to get in InDesign, with the same name and everything. No luck. Is there a better way, or another option for formatting this? I have a table style & cell style, paragraph style and character style I would like to apply to every table linked into this document. It seems too obnoxious to have to manually do this every time I place a table – especially since my document is a 400 page price list.
