    I desperately need to set the import options for PDF’s to “Crop” as a default.
    We use an xml file to load up pages with advertisements that must be imported with the setting to “Crop” for the PDF.

    In general, once you set it up once, it stays “sticky” and will apply that to PDFs in the future. No?

    David I wish that was the case however it seems the ALS layout file we are
    importing with paths to the ads we need does not in fact use that setting
    although I imported a pdf using that setting. Whenever I physically import a pdf it does in fact hold the setting I need.

    Any other suggestions would be appreciated

    Hm. Well, I guess I’d say it probably has to do with the scripts or plug-ins that you’re using then. Might need to be modified.

    Found in preference in ALS import that allows us to specify how the pdf’s are imported.
    Sometimes the answer is right in front of us but hard to see, problem solved.
    Regardless Adobe needs to make that a general preference.
