Dear Forum
I have a problem that I haven’t seen listed anywhere so far – I hope someone can shed some light on this.
When creating an alternate layout, I can’t shuffle my pages around without them flying into the other layout, they won’t stay put in the new layout but rather migrate over no matter how I move them. I turned the 2 shuffle functions on and off but don’t know why they keep moving to the other layout.
I have a tri-fold brochure (6 pages) with 3 pages stuck together per spread (shuffle turned off), which works great for print as the 2 spreads can be exported easily. Now, I’d like to publish this on the web, but the order makes no sense for this so I want to have the first and the last page as single pages, and the 4 middle pages as 2 spreads of 2 pages per spread. Easy, right? To avoid creating 2 documents I used an alternate layout, but can’t use it since the pages won’t stay put….! I used the MOVE PAGES command and listed exactly in which layout and where I want a page, and yet they fly over into the print layout which is just about driving me insane.
Has anyone encountered issues with spread/page shuffles between alternate layouts?
Thanks in advance for a great forum.
