Hi, first topic, it's been several years since DTP, my last experience was with PageStream on the Amiga several years ago.

Just installed InDesign and experimenting/getting familiar with the interface by remaking the menus for a friend's cafe.

What I'm looking to make is a nice divider/section header to separate each part of the menu, like one for “All Day Breakfast”, “Burgers”, “Main Meals”, “Baguettes” etc.

I've no idea what would be the best way for this, currently just got some text centred – nothing special.

      Any ideas?

Look for the Wingdings font. How about this one:

This one uses characters “e” and “f” from the Wingdings2 font. I have used this as a separators for years. Else you can also use some motifs from the same font.

      Hope it helps.

      Great idea!

I never thought of using the Wingdings font, or any other font for that matter to make separators :)
