I packaged several InDesign documents to collect all links. I’ve done this several times throughout my career, and I was under the assumption that the package process re-linked all links of the packaged file in the links folder created. I did this for several documents a couple months ago and found that none of them were re-linked. Has this never been the case or did I miss a setting when packaging?

After you click Package… from the first dialog box, there is a setting for “Update Graphic Links in Package” when you get to the Save dialog box, that should do it.

Thanks Sam! It appears the links were relinked to the links folder except for the InDesign file that was linked. Interestingly, the links folder contains most of the links for the linked indd file except the logo—which is the least important part of that file and not even shown.

Hi with Luise we made this script:
      https://corullon.com.br/scripts/product/package-selected-pages/
which will package links from linked indd files on all levels
