As a long document creator, I use master pages for everything. I use them for alignment and templates for redundant objects.

I’m using the latest CC2014, which seems to have a major issue handling overridden master page items upon PDF export. Print and Interactive alike. The only way you will see these leftover objects in InDesign is to override all master page options for all pages… Not a solution for a lengthy living document!

Sure, for a 40 page document I could use Acrobat to remove these objects. But I’ve already used a more powerful tool – InDesign to complete this work! But what about my 200 page documents? Catalogs? Price lists? I need a solution.

Does anyone know if this is on adobe’s ASAP fix list?

Are you fully patched to the latest version, a new patch was released the other day.

      Try that first and foremost!

You could probably clear the problem by exporting to IDML and open that – then save and export.

      I know it’s not ideal.
