I'm using the book feature in IDCS4, to manage 112 BC files. I need to be able to export them all at once as a pdf but I didn't want a 112 page doc. But I'm really kind of flying blind i guess. Since I do need to go into the separate docs to make changes correction etc, I'm not eactly sure how that affects the book? I've been deleting and adding docs when necessary but updating kind of has me stumped. How do I get rid of the the yellow triangle/exclamation point when a doc has been updated? Does it matter? Or does the doc have to be reimported? Also with every change/correction it wants to update the entire book, which is a pretty lengthy undertaking.

Perhaps this wasn't the best way to go about managing these files?

      Thanks for any help!

The yellow triangle indicates the file has been edited outside the Book, i.e., when the book is not open or minimised. Open the file through the book save and close. If there is still a yellow triangle it means that more pages have been added to that document and the page numbering has not been updated.

Since these are business cards you don't need to worry about the page numbers. So you can go to the Sub Menu (top right of the Book Panel there's a sub menu under the triangle)

Go to Book OPtions and turn off automatically update.

You can export the book to PDF – then in Acrobat choose Document>Extract Pages and then you can choose to extract all the pages to separate files.

Yup, I was opening the docs independently of the book. Gotcha, thanks!
