Hello all,
We’ve recently built a handful of Indesign templates at work for things like client presentations and project bids. They’ve all got the same masters and paragraph styles, and the idea was to quickly build documents by taking pages from different existing ones, while running titles and section and page numbering would all reflect the new one’s.
I’ve run into some glitch which is annoying. There are text place holders on the masters which we then unlock to edit on the pages (there are several masters, so it’s handy to have a reference for text placement and styles). But once we move these edited pages to a new document, the masters are reapplied and the locked placeholders reappear under the edited ones. All those time-saving intentions are crushed by having to manually unlock the extraneous place holders and delete them!
Is there any way around this if we really want to keep those placeholders on the masters?
Thank you!
