I have an object with a stroke and I want to add an inner shadow on just the fill so the shadow does not overpower the stroke.
It work when the object is just a shape but if I were to add an image to the frame the shadow is not there. Or maybe it’s behind the image.
      What am I doing wrong?

      I can’t use photoshop because it’s a running style throughout a book.
I got the effect using outer glow instead of stroke but it’s not perfect.

My guess is that you should apply the inner shadow on the Object (not the fill). When I tried it, I don’t see any noticeable difference between applying it to the Object or the Fill.

There’s two ways that I know of to accomplish this: Apply the Inner Shadow effect to the Graphic, not the Object or Fill. Or, apply the Inner Shadow effect to the Fill and set the blend mode of the Graphic to Multiply.

Or, apply the Inner Shadow effect to the Fill and set the blend mode of the Graphic to Multiply. If you use the second method, there has to be a white fill in the frame. If the fill is None, you won’t see the shadow.
