I have created a paragraph style with a list to obtain small text frames with automatic numbers. Duplicating them on the same page works great, but when one of the frame is on the right page of the spread, it becomes the last number of the list. Is there a way to avoid this?

Are you sure that that particulair textframe isn't threaded to the previous one?

It should work as you say, each story (or independed textframe, ->not threaded) should have it's own numbering sequence.

If it isn't threaded; than i suggest you first make the text 'un-numbered', that is; give it another (bogey) paragraphstyle.

And turn it back into your prefered numberedlist paragraph style.

      Good luck with that!

Thanks for your answer, but it does not solve the problem.

Yes, I am sure that the frames are not threaded, ans since I work in the IT team of a magazine and my job is to advice the users and set up the templates, I cannot simply “un-number” the list. I need to find a better solution. I read all the help files, looked for this issue in the Adobe forum, but I could not find anything relevant.

As I wrote, my numbering sequence works perfectly, but we need to be able to have, for instance, #1 et #2 on the left page of the spread, then #3 and #4 on the right page, then #5 and following back again on the left page.
