      Hi,

In creating a spiral bound book, I created a non-facing page doc (with 3mm bleed) and worked out how to get two pages 'facing' each other throughout, so the doc looks like spreads. I then used the “Page Tool” to shift each right page 10mm away from it's 'facing' left page. I then got the bleed on the inside which was my goal. Yeah. The document has images bleeding off all sides throughout. I can select 'spreads' in the print db and get page 2 and 3, etc together. But when I deselect the bleed option in the print db, this does not prevent bleed appearing on the inside of each page (where the spiral binding would be). Is there a way to stop this bleed as well?

Anything that goes beyond the page edge will bleed. Problem is the Page Tool only separates them visually not techincally – to my understanding. So in reality you've moved the page but the program thinks they are still in contact, and I think it's still treating it as a normal spread.

For spiral bound work you need facing pages, but you also need to Break Pages From Spine

And Harbs posted a link in the comments to a Script that will do this automagically.
