I have two InDesign files that make extensive use of thumbnail images in a table layout. (Both are physician directories with regular text and also tables that contain their names and photos.) When I delete an image from a table, I receive this warning: “GetTableCellBounds: No Parent Hierarchy.” I have to “OK” out of it to continue.

What does this mean, and how can I keep it from happening?

That is super weird. Does it happen on all documents, or just some?
Maybe export the document as IDML and then open the IDML file and see if the problem goes away?

It only happens in two documents that have the same basic structure. One was based on the other, which probably explains why both have this “disease”! Exporting to IDML was the first thing I did when the problem occurred, but it did not solve the problem. I’m currently recreating one of the documents from scratch, and this new document seems to be “inoculated”! It will take quite a while to do as it’s a “spare time” sort of project, but the result will be worth it not to have this irritating warning pop up all the time.
