New text box large, with link … no text

      I use creative suite on 3 computers (logged into 2 at a time). This is what is happening only on one of the computers when using InDesign. When I open a new document, and draw a text box, the text box created is always the same size, large, and automatically puts text in the box which i can’t see, and is creating a link in the bottom right corner. When I try to link the box to see what text is in the box it continues with large text boxes, so on and so on. I can’t draw a text box to my size and start typing like normal.

      Wow, that’s pretty odd.
      First, I would suggest rebuilding your preferences.

      Also, check to see if you have any third-party plug-ins installed.

      As for seeing what’s in the box, maybe select with Selection tool and choose Edit > Edit in Story Editor. Does that help?
