Nested numbering in same paragraph

      Hello gurus!

      I’m trying to create some numbered styles to achieve the following:

      1. <text>

      2. (a) <text>

      (b) <text>

      3. <more text>

      I can do the 1. 2. 3. level 1 numbering, and the (a) (b) level 2 numbering (which restarts when level 1 numbering increases), but I can’t get the 2.(a) to work properly.

      Is there a way to do it as a run-in head like in FrameMaker? Or by using building blocks like in FrameMaker?

      Other than moving to FrameMaker, any ideas?

      Remember that the key is to use multiple paragraph styles. For example, you want to apply a different paragraph style to 1.text than you do to 2.(a) text.
