      Hello:

      I could use some help in finding pronunciation key(s) in text in parenthesis, including the parenthesis, but without grabbing other text within other parenthesis. I want to delete the pronunciation key only. Hope that makes sense.
      For example:
      I only need to grab nad delete the pronunciation in the sample below:

      Adam Scott became the first Australian to win the Masters, beating Angel Cabrera (AHN’-hehl kuh-BREHR’-uh) on the second hole of a playoff on a rainy day at Augusta National. This was the first time (in Master’s history) that a playoff was postponed due to rain.

      I tried \((?<=\().*?(\))
      But of course, it finds both text within the two parenthesis items.
      Thanks for any advice.

      The question is, how do you tell the difference between pronunciation keys and parentheticals that are not pronunciation keys? The presence of stress marks? Capitals? Any systematic difference?

      We would need to find the pattern to be sure to create a GREP to do this.

      This will find your example but will probably not work for every example, give it a try and see how it goes.

      \(.+\-[\u]+\)

      Thanks, Graham: I tested it with several different samples and it found all of them, but left the other parentheticals in the text. Exactly what I needed. Thanks again. I wasn’t having any luck on my own.
