I have a book which is made up of five smaller books. It is being published as on volume in this case – previously designed to be five separate small volumes in a slip case. At the beginning of each ‘book’ in the single volume we want a table of contents just for that book. I thought I could so this somehow with sections and the n limit the toc to that section. However I can’t see how.

Anyone know how I can do this?

      Thank you……………. liz

I would make unique parastyles per “book”, then create TOC styles per book. Generating a TOC based on one of those TOC styles will give you the TOC wanted.
ex. “Book 1”, has parastyles ending on “_bk1”. Create a TOC style, named bk1 and include only the styles ending on _bk1. Create the TOC. Only the -bk1 entries will be listed.
