I am using InDesign 5.5 to create a PDF with two sound samples. I have…

      1. Placed the samples as MP3 files
      2. Hidden them to avoid the ugly play control appearing in Acrobat
      3. Given each of them a “Play” and “Stop” button with appropriate actions.
      4. Used “On Focus” so you don't have to click the button twice

What I would like is that if Sample 1 is playing, when you press the button for Sample 2 to play, Sample 1 stops. At the moment, the first sample continues to play, which sounds horrendous.

I have tried adding a second action to each play button. The first action being to stop the other sample, and the second action being to start the new sample. However, this doesn't work. This simply results in both samples playing (even though one is clearly designated to stop).

It really shouldn't be this hard. Can anyone help? Thanks :-)
