      Hi all!
First of all, I must apologize for my english. Its not so good like i wish, but I’ll do my best.
      And now, my problem.
I must create book covers all the days. Usually, I have a 5 pages spread with spine, front and back cover and flaps.
Basically, my client needs only 3 formats, 17×24, 15×21 and 13×21 cms. The only change (contents apart, of course :) ) is the spine width, and almost 95% of covers have a full background frame, sometimes with a picture, the rest of times with a plain color.
I’m trying to create 3 templates with liquid layout to link background frame and spine width, but doesn’t matter the page where I create the frame (then I resize it to cover the 5 pages), its always linked to page 2. When I double clic the spine page, no frame is selected, the frame is only selected when I double clic page 2 (the back cover). If I change the page 2 width, the frame rescale to fill all the pages, but this is not the behaviour I need. I have tried liquid rules too, with same result. Only when I change page 2 frame was resized.
Some idea? Can I change the page “owner” to the spine one (3)? The point here is to have 1 only frame, and link his width to spine width.
Now I’m working with liquid layouts only in covers with solid colors using 3 frames: 1 for the spine, 1 for pages 1 and 2 and last for pages 4 and 5, but… it’s not elegant and doesn’t work with picture backgrounds.
      Any help will be apreciated.

      Best regards!
      Jose (from Madrid, Spain)

I don’t think Liquid Layout can do what you want.

Here is how I suggest setting up book covers:

      Thank you David!
Well, the way you do covers is the one I do.
The scripts are very interesting, maybe I’ll try one of them.
Anyway, the image background covers seems to be ideal for one page spread, better than 5 pages spread like I use now.
      Will see…
      Thanks again!

      Best regards,
      Jose
