I'm working on a calendar project, which I set up as a table.

How can I move the numbers over a cell so I don't have to retype the numbers for each month. Hitting return or shift return doesn't work, that just changes the size of the cell I'm in.

Not sure that I have understood your query exactly but here are my thoughts.

When I used a table structure to produce a calendar, I placed two text frames over the top of each other, each on its own layer and each with a table within it. Both tables had the same cell parameters (row height, column width etc.) so that they coincided exactly. The one in the lower layer had a large number for the date in a pale colour. The one in the upper layer had the details for that particular day in smaller darker text.

Since neither table had any fill colour (though the lower one could have) the information in both tables was visible, the date details being superimposed onto the date number.

      Hope that helps.

I would strongly recommend anyone who wants to make a calendar in InDesign create it with CalendarWizard:

      https://sourceforge.net/project…..darwizard/

I tried using calendar wizard but got an error message.

What I need to do I moved from one cell to the next and move the copy in that cell too. Is there a way to do that? Even time I start a new month I have to type all the numbers over again because I can't figure out how to move the text onto the right starting day.

      Use copy and paste

There is no text flow in tables.

      or

You could use a numbered list. Just change where it starts and the following numbers will change accordingly.
