Mirrored spreads page reshuffling: objets partially outside pages don't update positions

Hi,
Working on a file with a mirror layout where the inside margins are bigger than the outside margins. When creating a new page in the middle of the file or chagin page positions, all the objects that are slightly outside the page don't get their position updated like the rest of the objects that are fully within page bounds.
Is there a way to avoid this. Working on a 400 page book where this pretty much happens in every page. I dread the moment when the edits require a page to be added or removed because I have to realign all the objects that are supposed to be croped out of the pages.
I know I must not be the only one with this problem.
