Master pages synchronisation in book problem

      I am working on a book with 12 chapters in 12 documents. When I change the masterpages in the style-source document and the synchronise the book, the master pages are not syncronized. The box is ticked …
      Could it be because I am changing margins?

      Two basic things to check; these trip me up all the time. [1] Make sure the right file is set as the style source. [2] Make sure that one of the files in the book is not selected. If it is, ID will not synchronise the whole book. If one of these isn’t the cause, we’ll have to look deeper.

      Thanks for the advice Lindsey. The problem was syncroning while one document remains selected. …

      Actually there was an underlying problem. Some documents in the Book were set to a different page size. Ad it turns out master pages of different size cannot be syncronized. It would be nice if Indesign would display a warning of some sort. Anyway it is sorted now so I am glad. Thanks again.
