I have a ~40 page document that will be part of a series, and I am beginning to set up a template now. The client combined a few options we had presented them, which is creating some confusion on my end in terms of how to set up the master pages in a template.
As you can see in the following image, I have a series of pages that uses 3 master spreads. The green pages mark the beginnings of new sections. However, new sections will not always start on the left and end on the right. And because the content is not delivered to us in final form, there will be the need to add pages to some sections after setting them up.
To make things more complicated, at the top-right corner of each spread, an icon will be placed to mark the section (and each section uses a different icon). When adding pages into sections that have already been established, it keeps the icon on that particular page, regardless of whether it is a left page or right page.
I can’t just make a 1-page master for the green page, because this is a booklet that needs a bleed. Short of creating a litany of single-page masters, how can I begin to tackle this?
Please note that I am not using sections in my pages panel (just in my head). If that would help I would try it!
Here is a cross-post to my question which includes a screenshot of the doc I’m referring to: https://forums.adobe.com/message/10905041#10905041
