Hi all. This is making me tear my hair out a bit. I've got a big InDesign document, and I need to convert it to XML. I've mapped styles to tags, but as I'm sure you're all aware, this puts the closing tag at the beginning of the following paragraph.

      Here's a representation:

      <p>Blah blah blah

      </p><p>Blah blah blah</p>

And I want it to be:

      <p>Blah blah blah</p>

      <p>Blah blah blah</p>

What I'd really like to do is put all the closing tags at the end of their respective paragraphs, and the opening tags at the beginning. I can do this with some post-processing on the XML, but I'd rather have the tags in the right place in InDesign. The document's too long for me to do this manually. The only help A Designer's Guide to Adobe InDesign and XML gives is that Dreamweaver can help in fixing the XML structure. But like I said, I want to do this in InDesign if possible.

Is there maybe a way to script this?
