      Hi,
i am new to Indesign, need to know that… on this site with resources menu/indesign templates there is a template called “Classified Section”, i opened this file & saw that in every column there is a stroke line after every paragraph, can anyone guide me how to do that?

Welcome to the site and to InDesign.

Basically, you should create a style sheet that has your font, type size, and leading. And then in the “paragraph rules,” select rule below. Choose the width of the rule, and adjust the offset below for your spacing.

Don’t forget to add space below in your style sheet (under “Indents and Spacing) for spacing between those paragraphs.

      Hi Noman

In the example you mention (“Classified Section” template), open the Paragraph Styles panel and select/modify the “Body 1 Rule” style.

Go to the Paragraph Rules page. Then, click the drop-down list which likely currently reads “Rule Above” and change it to “Rule Below”.

Now you should be able to see what-all settings have been used for this Below Rule, e.g., Weight = 0.5pt, Colour = Black, Offset = 0.1389in, etc.

      Hope this helps.

      Yours,

      Allan
