I’m in the process of moving all my files from a MAC 10.9.5 to a new PC. I am finding most of the files cannot be opened on the PC. Does anyone have a solution? I have thousands of filles. Thank you for any help you can give.
Hi Janet! :-)
What kind of files? Are you sure the files have the proper file name extensions? For example, “MyFile” won’t work on the PC, but “MyFile.indd” will.
It is happening to all file types. The PC is putting a period underscore in front of the name. (InDesign, PDF, jpg, tif, etc)
The strange thing is that it does it sometimes but not all the time. It is also changing all the date modified to today. I have thousands of files I need to be able to use on the PC.
