Mac: CS3 Install prompts for Catalyst?

      Attempts to install any application or the entire suite from CS3 Design Premium prompts, “Please insert Adobe Flash Catalyst to continue installation,” and refuses to proceed. I don't know why the CS3 installer would even know about Catalyst, since it wasn't even in Labs until after CS4 was released. This system had had the Catalyst Beta 1 installed, but I've run its uninstaller to remove it. I really need to get my CS3 apps installed. Anyone have any idea what workaround is required to make this installer proceed?
