I’m a longtime user of Indesign. Recently I switched from the big screen Imac to the small screen MacBook Air.
The fonts on-screen are doing whacky things that can only be generally ‘fixed’ by clicking ‘fit frame to content’. I have turned off GPU acceleration. Also see https://community.adobe.com/t5/indesign-discussions/text-disappears-when-editing/td-p/12130545 for another issue.
Oddly, the files export to Acrobat without a problem.
I am running Adobe InDesign 16.4.
Any ideas?
Next time it does something “Wacky” try zooming in and out on the text frame. Zooming in and out will get InDesign to redraw and I am wondering if this is simply a display issue that gets resolved when you force InDesign to redraw when you fit content to frame.
Let us know if that works or not!
Doesn’t seem to make a difference. Can I attach a screenshot to show you the problem?
That would be helpful though, I am not sure how to go about doing that on here… maybe upload the image to imgur and post a link or something?
Yes, that’s the best way to put pictures here. :-)
My apologies, but I have no idea how to use imgur to send an image.
