Lock page position in current window

      Has anyone found a way to lock the page position within the current window?

      I set the window frame to allow a quarter inch or so of space around the page.

      But I find that dragging images onto the page will often shift the page partially out of the frame. I know I can hit cmd + 0 to recenter the page but I hope there is a way to avoid this.

      I also find the when I page up to the next page that it starts shifting the page location up in the frame, a little at a time, and I have to recenter again.
