      Hi all,
I looked on your forum the whole half a day and still cant find a solution to my problem:

I’m making a big book with indesign CC with a MAC, its in french so many links names (above 150) includes accents and it works fine for me

      THEN THE PROBLEM COMES

When I transfer that big package to my colleage who works on WINDOWS (7 I think), he opens it no problem but all the spéééécial characters cant find their way in the package.

      INFO:

      1. The special characters are replaced by the usual ^@% or whatever in the indesign. But the name of the pdf files in the links folder are still the same.

      2. Seems like the .indd have no problem with the classic “way of windows” :/C/ etc…

Thank you for your help. I dont have a pc at my place so i cant run “test” for now but i’m working on it
Thanks for reading have a good day !

      Which font(s) are you using?

I’m using chapparal pro (light italic regular italic and regular) and Adam pro CG (found on behance)

But the problem is not the way files are displayed but the name of links inside the link panel (thats what break the link between the indesign reference way and the actual file. I dont see how fonts could be a problem. Its more about lost links that i could reedit myself but would take 2 hours

      Thanks for the help !

You may have to re-name your links if they are too long or have spaces, etc. Try a simple name, such as: photo.pdf
