Does anyone know if there is a plug-in or script to maintain links to renamed images? Many of my company's images used ISBNs in their names. However, many times the ISBN will change and we lose the link.

      Please halp.

      Thanks

You could use this script from Tomaxxi:

      https://carijansen.com/2011/11/…..age-links/

It won't rename them automatically… but I'm not sure how any script could do that. How would it know how a file was renamed?

Thanks for the quick reply. Actually, we would only be partially renaming the links (only the ISBN at the end of the file name is changing. I may be wrong, but I thought Quark at one time had such an extension.

A few days ago I wrote a similar script.

Hi there, these links are now old/defunct… is there a modern way of doing this?!

      Hello Steve,
the URL to Kasyan’s website recently changed: https://indesignsecrets.com/topic/kasyans-site-the-domain-name-has-changed
Remove the “.com” from the link above: https://kasyan.ho.ua/rename_links_isbn.html should work.

      Best regards, Jens
