Ligatures – Text before bold reflowing

      Hi there

      I’m having an issue with some text that is reflowing before the words that I am changing to a heavier type. I’ve tried switching ligatures off, but this makes the text reflow a lot – to the poin where there are small words being taken over to the next line when there is plenty of room for it on the line above. The text is in german so I don’t know if the characters are causing the issue, although I have tried deleting some and it still happens. Can supply screenshot if it would help. It seems to happen on the Light version of the font most, I’ve tried the regular and bold and don’t get so much of an issue. But it’s a clients font so have to use it.

      I’m at a complete loss as how to proceed!

      My guess is that you are using Paragraph Composer in InDesign, which recomposes the whole paragraph based on best-overall spacing (not just one line at a time).
