layers doing crazy

      Hi,

      I ‘lost’ the small bullet in my layers pallet. The bullet I need to move objects from one layer to an other. The same bullet with indicates in with layer a object is placed.
      It’s gone….

      I can open a layer, search for the object I want to move and drag it to an other layer but this can’t be the solution.
      Indesign 2017 -) mac El capitan

      help?

      This occurred to me last month, even changing workspaces did nothing, the only solution I found was to trash my preferences.

      Maybe somebody else has found another solution.

      My only thought is bad preference and trashing them.
