Layer name as a text variable?

      Hello,
      It would come in handy at times if there were a way to use the layer’s name as a text variable. I change the layer’s name, the content of the layer changes accordingly… Mmmmm… Hopeless hope?

      I hope this is not a hopeless hope, as I’ve just posted a similar request.
      Of course, your post is nearly 7 years old, so I’m hoping that my hope isn’t a hopeless hope. :-)
      If you found a solution would you be kind and share?
