I am currently working on a academic book with Latin texts next to the Dutch translation (in separate stories).
How do you approach the hyphenation and dictionary settings in Indesign for this?
?Any tips on the use of Latin? I use the Italian preferences now. ?

This will be a text heavy multi-volume edition, so I want to make sure proofreading and correcting afterwards will go as smooth as possible.
      Gratias multas!

Latin is easy… you just hyphenate it the way it was originally pronounced. (Sorry, bad joke…) ;-)

InDesign doesn’t come with Latin dictionaries, but MindSpell might help:

Have you seen this from Adobe on how to install additional Hunspell dictionaries for spelling and hyphenation:

Bona fortuna tibi (or something like that),

I’ll try to add the additional Hunspell dictionaries in ID first. Thanks for your quick replies.
