Keyboard Command Object Scaling: top-left or center?

For years, I’ve been dealing with not knowing how to change the preference for the Ctrl+Shift+Alt+, and Ctrl+Shift+Alt+.

I prefer to have the objects scale from the center, but it seems by default it scales from the top-left corner. Then, at some point over time, it’ll magically switch over to scaling from the center, but I won’t realize what I may have pressed to make the switch, and have never been able to figure out just the right set of keywords to search for a solution.

Now, I know how to scale from center using mouse and keyboard, but when I’m doing over 50 of these in a batch, it’s much faster if I can simply use the keyboard.

      Any suggestions?

Maybe you to set up the Reference Point Proxy to the center box.

That was it! I never noticed the grid in the corner! Thanks!
