I’m wondering if this problem is a result of something I’m doing unknowingly, or if it’s an InDesign CC glitch:
In a paragraph style that incorporates a bulleted list, sometimes the letter at the beginning disappears. Obviously I know if I change a paragraph style to something without a list, my letter will go away. But when the paragraph (or any part of it) is selected, the accurate style is highlighted, without any over rides. What’s weird is that the copy after the bullet point-letter stays in place, indented, as if the key letter is still there. The rest of the letters in the list all respond as if the letter is NOT there, meaning C becomes B, D becomes C, etc.
When I see it, I can’t even “force apply” the style. I actually have to click on a different paragraph style and then click back on the accurate style to get the letter to reappear.
My assumption is that it’s a bug and I can’t control when it happens, but any thoughts anyone has out there would be great. Otherwise I will put in a bug report with Adobe.
