Here is the situation. I am at a small newspaper where the page range is typically 20 pages. I want to make one document of 20 pages and place all of my advertisements then save each page as a single InDesign file. Does anyone know of a quick way to do this? I've looked for scripts and other resources but have yet to find a fast and easy approach to this. Any advice would be great. Currently running CS4. Thanks.

There are a number of options, including:

      https://creativepro.com/pag…..or-cs3.php

Also, there are more powerful third-party utilities, such as

      https://exportools.badiasoftware.com/

      and

      https://zevrix.com/batchoutput.php

Thanks David I checked out the links you posted but they all offer the export to PDF, PS, INX, or an image format. The BatchOutput showed the most promise but the closest it would do is INX. I need the files to still be .indd instead of PDFs. The way it is done at work now is on a 6 page document the ads are placed on their pages then save the whole volume, then delete all of the pages except for 1 and save as. We do this for all other pages and as you can imagine it takes forever to do. I was hoping there would be a plugin I could download or a pre-existing script. I know very little about writing InDesign scripts. Thanks for trying to help me out. I'll still look around to see if I can find a solution, if I do I will share it. Thanks.

      Hi mountainsong79,

the exportools David has mentioned above does exactly what you need.

Look again… you can even test-drive it for 30 days. It works perfectly in my CS4.

      Good luck!

Thanks David for the links. Totally overlooked that feature on exportools. We all have our moments. Test drove it and it did exactly what I wanted it to. Now its all a matter of getting the boss to sign off on it. Thanks so much guys! =)
