Is it possible to ignore overall page count in a book file on just some pages?

I have about 50 documents comprising of various page counts which i have added to my book file. I am using automatic page numbering so each document's pages continue counting from the last. Some of my document files are just 'section breakers' and i don't want them to actually be counted as pages in my book. Does that make sense? In other words let's say my first 5 documents combined finish on page 100, and then i have a 'section breaker' which is 2 pages and then my next document starts of course at page 103, but i would like it to ignore the 'section breakers' and start its numbering from 101. Is this possible or would i need to use sections or something? Ideally i want it so i can move documents around at a later time if need be and they all update accordingly without any manual work.

      Thanks!

You can't do it with the auto numbering feature, but you can do it with regular numbering:
