Hi all – I’m wondering if it’s possible to create a dropdown navigation menu in an Interactive PDF (CC 2017)? I’ve scoured the web and can’t seem to find any info on it. Any input is appreciated!

      Thanks!

Thanks so much for that, David! Two quick follow-up questions:

      1) Will lots of instances of the hide/show buttons (like 20+ in a 40 page report) create usability problems or increase the file size drastically?

      2) Also, I created numerous navigation buttons for a 130+ page PDF report last year, but when a user opened the interactive PDF a purple bar would appear with what looked an error message about filling out a form. I read online that there’s a limit of 100 buttons before the forms message appears. Wonder if you have any insight to this oddity as well.

      Thanks again!

I don’t think the extra buttons should add a huge amount of overhead to the PDF.
The purple bar problem is extremely annoying. I haven’t seen it recently, though, so it might be dependent on which version of Acrobat you’re using.
