I am inserting pages in the following ways:
      Script: Insert Word Pages
      Script: Insert PDF Pages
Move Pages: to insert InDesign Pages from another InDesign file.

The pages I have inserted act as a picture. I get the donut in the center as if the inserted pages were transformed at some point into a picture as opposed to editable text.

I can not click with any tool to edit the text.

I doubt that story editor will work, because I can not get the curser into the paragraphs of text.

I also tried to embed the links into the file, however the text is still not editable.

Insert or Place? You cannot edit Placed (cmd+D) InDesign and PDF but Word and text files should work

I believe I placed the documents. I tried embedding, no luck.

I think I know why the text is not editable. Some of the pages were placed from a PDF. Since it is PDF, it is probably flattened. Yes PDF files can be edited somewhat from Acrobat, but not inside of InDesign, it is likely not able to be edited from InDesign.

Thank you for your kind response, there is likely no solution due to the PDF file format that was imported.
