I received numerous InDesign ‘Packages’ from a design firm to edit. When I open the .indd file it will not see the fonts. There are .ttf fonts shown, whick I can install manually, There are are also other fonts files with no filename extensions I can do nothing with. I primararly use InDesign CC on PC Win 7 although I opened on Mac and got same result. Help, in using InDesign, this should not be happening.

Is the folder named Document fonts, exactly – Capital D, lowercase f, etc.? If not, it won’t work.

Yes it’s ‘Document fonts’. I read that going from PC to Mac is not an issue but Mac to PC is not good. I found an app called CrossFont to make the Mac fonts installable to PC. It worked perfectly (the missing 80 or so fonts). Thanks though!
