Indesign Span Column: Text preceding the desired spanned text splits

      When I use Span Column in a 2-column text box, the paragraph preceding the text that I want to span splits and jumps to the top of next column. I can attached screen shot or pdf, but I don’t know how…

      Yes, that is generally how Span works.
      When you set a paragraph to span, you’re making a new “zone” inside the frame. It’s almost like a new frame inside the frame. So the zone above it (where the other text is) acts like its own little 2-column frame.

      And if you don’t want the text above to split, you can set the paragraph to span and increase the right margin.
