I have some “See” and “See also” items in my index that do not have pages assigned to them. However, they still print when I generate the index. I would like to delete these items, but since there are no page numbers assigned to them, and they do not show up in the Index menu for that chapter, I can’t figure out how to delete them.

You need to remove the index entries from the Index panel. That is, find them in the alphabetical list of topics, then twirl open the triangles, select them and click the Delete button at the bottom of the Index panel.

That is the problem. They do not appear in the Index panel. Absolutely nothing shows up.

Oh, well that’s a bigger problem. Maybe export the document as IDML and open it again (that gets rid of most document corruption). Or check to see if you need to Accept All in the Track Changes panel? Not sure why it wouldn’t show up there.
