InDesign GREP – Removing or colouring Underscores

      Hi all,

      I’m trying to remove all underscores imported from a Caption Variable. I don’t know how to develop a “find and replace underscores with a space” or even a “find and replace underscores with a paper-coloured character” command in GREPS.

      Any advice?

      Do you need to use GREP for this? You can search for underscores in the TEXT tab of the find/change dialog box, right?

        Thanks David.

        I have lots of inserted images, all on overriden master pages… I’d rather use the tool to automate, especially as updates will happen with these images and maps. I think the GREP result may be cleaner, especially thinking of long-term document longevity.
