I’m new to Google Docs. After a search online, and here, I have discovered the DocsFlow plugin allowing one to link a Google Doc to InDesign.
What I haven’t found is an equivalent of *placing* a Word document, that doesn’t maintain the link back to the Google Doc. There are so many folk at this company working on Google Docs with different approaches/styles that severing the link between the two formats would be useful.
Is there a workflow anyone with more experience than I can recommend that isn’t *just* copy-paste, so I can map styles etc.

      Many thanks

Yes, if you want to sever the link to the Google Doc, you can do that. I believe you choose “Embed” from the Links panel. Check the DocsFlow documentation for details, though.
