InDesign Eyedropper not copying formats

      Help can anyone tell me how to fix my eyedropper? It worked fine until recently. Now instead of copying the format, it changes the selected text to outlines. I’m on OS Yosemite, iMac I7, with plenty of ram and memory. Your help is very much appreciated.
