I was wondering if anyone has successfully managed Indesign files through SharePoint 2007. I can't seem to get links in my book to point to my files on the SharePoint server.

We tried mapping the sharepoint drive, but we keep getting permission errors. My IT department is looking into the issue, but they have not had much luck. Any help would be appreciated.

      Thanks,

      MT

Anchorage, Alaska! According to Michelle Shocked, “you are in the biggest state of the union”!

Do you only get those permission errors from within InDesign, or does it not work with any file operation? “Mapping” the drive, does that mean you are working on Windows, and tried to map it to a drive name like “Z:”?

Yep Alaska is the largest state area wise in the United States.

I can open files that I uploaded to SharePoint, but I cannot maintain the links to the book. I am working in a Windows environment XP with Service Pack 3 to be exact.

We get the folllowing error out of InDesign when we try to add files to the book that are on the SharePoint site:

Z:Part 1 General Business Information.indd can't be added because it is in use or your dont have permission!

We do not have any instances of the file open. Thanks for your help.
